Wool sales in Week 40 saw a downward adjustment with the finer merino types most affected. 17.5 and 19.5 micron lost just over 40 cents, while 17.0,19.0,20.0 and 21.0 micron types fell 30-39 cents. The lowest falls were in the 18.0, 18.5, 22.0-24.0 micron ranges which were between 5 and 22 cents lower.

Fremantle

The week 40 wool sales in Fremantle saw large falls of 31 to 34 cents in the 18.0-19.0 micron range on the first day then steadying on day two. 19.5-22 fell between 11 and 19 cents on day one and about 10 cents on day two, except 20.0 micron which was 19 cents lower again. Overall the finer types were 37-46 cents lower for the week, and medium types 20-36 cents lower.
