Auction
Viterra's professional auction facilities in Melbourne and Fremantle offer the best service in low, flat-rate brokerage. Experienced auctioneers work to extract the best possible price for growers, offering it to the world export trade in a manner befitting a global operation.
Direct On-Farm
Viterra provides a no obligation FREE quote on your clip, at current market value. When your wool has been appraised, priced and documented by one of our experienced wool client managers, you can make an informed decision on when to sell. The price can easily be updated if and as the market moves. Provided as a net price, with no handling or core test charges, this method is unique - the only way you can know what your wool is worth before it leaves your property.
Price On Result
When your wool has been delivered to a Viterra wool store, core tested on site and fully specified, you will receive an accurate valuation. With this method, you will know the full specifications of your wool before it is sold. The price can easily be updated in line with market behaviour. We offer expert advice and await growers' instructions on when to sell and when to hold.
Forward
By selling forward you can relax and concentrate on other farm duties, able to plan future cashflows with certainty. Viterra's wool export division can offer forward prices for all types of wool. It has become a major export trader by developing close ties with overseas mills, particularly in China and Italy.
Electronic Trading
Growers can take advantage of Viterra's very successful and controlled method of sale offering wool to the world on a daily basis. When your wool has been fully tested, and we have consulted with you to set a reserve price for your protection and control, it is listed for electronic sale on Wooltrade. Wool Trade is offered to all exporters and its unrivalled flexibility comes from us being able to market your wool whenever you choose.
