FarmGUARD

When you insure your farm with The Co-operators, FarmGUARD Insurance Program adds an enhanced endorsement to your policy for only $25 per year. This endorsement would normally cost up to $200 per year and offers increased policy limits to the insured.

Increased policy limits include:

• Up to $250,000 for newly acquired or newly constructed buildings (farm structures)

• Up to $250,000 for new additions to existing buildings (farm structures)

• $5,000 as a Crime floater 

• $20,000 for Debris Removal 

• $10,000 Fire Fighting Expenses 

• $5,000 for fire damage to fences and corrals 

• Up to 50% of insured farm structure contents, located anywhere 

• $5,000 for insured farm produce, such as unharvested grain, hay, straw, fodder, silage, or other produce in swaths or piles, for damage by fire 

• $2,500 for fire extinguisher recharge 

• $2,500 for exterior farm signs 

• $2,500 for valuable papers and records 

• $5,000 for fuel and/or fuel tanks (locked tanks) 

• $1,000 for vehicle impact to fences and corrals 

• $5,000 for Loss Of Use of insured farm machinery 

• $25,000 for hay, straw, fodder and silage 

• $10,000 for fertilizer and chemicals 

• $100,000 for harvested grain, seeds and beans 

• Up to $5,000 for incurred Extra Expense to continue farming, following an insured loss 

• $50,000 legal liability for damage to non-owned farm outbuildings you are using or renting 

• $25,000 On-Site Clean Up Coverage (limited pollution liability)
  

Loss Experience Discount
All participating customers may be eligible for discounts on future renewal premiums based on the loss experience of all participating customers. Discounts are applied once all claims for the previous year have been received and calculated.
