Environmental Stewardship
Viterra is also committed to environmental stewardship. We implemented Best Management Practices (BMP), in which crop nutrients are applied at the right rate to meet the needs of the crop, at the right time for maximum availability to match crop uptake, and in the right place to reduce losses of nutrients from the soil. By combining tools such as soil testing with other BMPs like proper application methods and timing, producers can optimize their investment and, at the same time, minimize environmental effects.
