Viterra is strategically committed to the growth of the New Zealand feed market.
We import grain and protein meals to support stock feed operations in New Zealand and, by working with major New Zealand retailers, our imports of blends, grain, protein and soy products support the New Zealand agricultural industry.
Viterra is a major player in the maize industry, predominantly in the North Island. We contract maize growers to provide maize for processing at our grain dryers in Te Awamutu and Te Puke before marketing it to stock-feed companies country-wide.
Viterra exports wheat, maize and barley from New Zealand, supporting domestic grain prices and servicing our destination customers seeking New Zealand grain.
