Viterra announces leadership appointment in South America

Effective 1 May 2021, Viterra is pleased to announce that Vladimir Barisic has been appointed Executive Manager for Argentina.

Vladmir has been with Viterra for 15 years, including 5 years in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where he held the role of Global Director of Soy and Soybean Oil.

In 2019 he returned to Argentina as Commercial Manager for South America. Vladmir graduated as an Agricultural Production Engineer from the Catholic University of Argentina (UCA).  In his new role Vladimir will also oversee Paraguay and Uruguay.  

Furthermore, after a successful career of over 37 years, Sergio Gancberg, Executive Director South America, has retired from Viterra, effective 30 April 2021.

“I would like personally thank Sergio for his dedication and leadership over the years.  His many accomplishments have created pathways for further growth for our South American business”, said David Mattiske, Viterra’s Chief Executive Officer.  

“As we move forward, Vladimir’s vast experience and management skills will allow us to further build on growth opportunities within our agriculture network.”
