One way that Viterra gives back to communities and the agricultural industry is through community investments and partnerships. Our investments promote sports and recreation programs with a focus on youth, agriculture awareness,  grain industry education and safety, and health and wellness. Along with many others, Viterra supports the following groups/events:

Ag More Than Ever
Viterra is a proud partner of Ag More than Ever, an industry-driven cause aimed at improving perceptions and creating positive dialogue about Canadian agriculture. To learn more, visit them at agriculturemorethanever.ca.

The Canadian Foodgrains Bank
Viterra is a long-term supporter of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, an organization dedicated to ending hunger in developing countries. Viterra donates $5.00 for every tonne donated to the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, and donates land each year for use with CFGB Growing Projects.

United Way
The United Way's mission is to improve lives and strengthen communities by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action. Viterra and our employees have supported the fundraising efforts of the United Way for many years.  Supported by corporate matching our employees have come together to raise funds for local United Way organizations in Vancouver, Regina, Winnipeg and Thunder Bay.

Agriculture in the ClassroomAg for Life
Viterra supports Ag in the Classroom by donating to each of its divisions in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and was the title sponsor of the Ag in the Classroom student resource book titled "The Adventures of Michael and Mia: Stewards of the Land". Viterra supports Ag for Life; in Alberta via the Ag101 program, which helps students understand where their food comes, and the careers available to them in the agriculture industry. Ag in the Classroom and Ag for Life exist to provide balanced, factual information to teachers and students and encourage young people to make educated decisions relating to food, environment, careers and lifestyle.

Canada's Farm Progress Show
Viterra is the presenting sponsor of Canada’s Farm Progress show, which is the country’s largest dry land farm technology show attracting 40,000 visitors annually from around the globe. This farm show is a great opportunity for Viterra to showcase its services, as well as interact with our customers. Last year marked the 40th anniversary of the show, and Viterra was proud to celebrate its 40th anniversary as a show exhibitor, and its 10th anniversary as presenting sponsor of the show! This year's show is June 20-22, so stay tuned for more show information!

Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club
Through our long-standing support of the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club and its community involvement, Viterra takes part in charitable giving. Our sponsorship of the football club provides Viterra with an opportunity to get involved in the community and helps our Company build relationships with farm customers. Viterra is also a Founding Partner of the new Mosaic Stadium in Regina. As proud partners of the Saskatchewan Roughriders for many years, we're pleased to be strengthening our relationship by supporting this historic project.

 



Canadian Football League
Viterra is also a proud sponsor of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Calgary Stampeders, and the Edmonton Eskimos. Viterra supports CFL teams that are located its primary operating regions in Western Canada.

4-H Foundation
For many years, Viterra has supported the provincial 4-H clubs from Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Our funding helps the 4-H chapters provide innovative initiatives that inspire youth to become contributing leaders in their communities. 4-H's vision is to help youth achieve their full potential. This sponsorship enables Viterra to build relationships with the agricultural industry's leaders of tomorrow.

Outstanding Young Farmers
Through annual donations to the Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan chapters, Viterra supports Outstanding Young Farmers. This organization is designed to recognize young farmers who exemplify excellence and innovation in their profession.

SJHL / AJHL / MJHL
Viterra is proud to sponsor the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's (SJHL) South Division. The SJHL has created the Viterra Division, which consists of the Estevan Bruins, Melville Millionaires, Yorkton Terriers and the Weyburn Red Wings.
Viterra is also a proud sponsor of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). Viterra is the title sponsor of the Viterra North & South Divisions, the Viterra Stars of the Game program, the Viterra Cup and the Viterra Salute to Service Award.
Viterra is also proud to sponsor the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) as a showcase sponsor.

Scotties Tournament of Hearts
Viterra is the title sponsor for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Qualifer events began with the Viterra Challenge Provincial Qualifying Bonspiel in North Battleford December 1-3 2017, and the Viterra Last Chance Provincial Qualifying Bonspiel in Estevan December 15-17 2017. The 2018 Viterra Scotties Tournament of Hearts was hosted in Melfort January 2-7, 2018, with Team Anderson taking first place at the event. Congratuations ladies!
 

STARS Air Ambulance
Viterra proudly sponsors STARS Air Ambulance through its annual calendar fundraising campaign. Viterra has once again signed on as the print sponsor of the calendar, and will also support the sales of calendars and STARS merchandise through its footprint in Western Canada. Viterra Championships
Viterra is the title sponsor for the Manitoba Men's Curling Championship event, titled the Viterra Championships. The 2018 competition was hosted at Winkler Arena in Winkler, MB January 31 to February 4, 2018, with Team Carruthers taking first place at the event. Congratuations gents!

University of Regina
Viterra is the proud sponsor of Cougars from Your Community, a program which showcases U of R athletes from rural communities. The 2017-18 program highlighted 4 athletes from across the province.
